Trade paperback copy of Dorian William's Show Jumper. I have both the 1974 First Arco Edition and the 1970 First American Edition (with no dustjacket). Winner gets his/her pick.
From the back cover:
During the last 20 years show jumping has developed enormously both as an active and spectator sport, until the enthusiasm of ringside audiences has come to match that of the competitors. The fascination of the sport lies in the fact that it depends on a sympathetic working relationship between a horse and his rider, a partnership that demands a high degree of skill, courage, and intelligence. Putting all this to good account, Dorian Williams has written an exceptional book which examines the various types of horses that have been and can be used according to their strength, soundness, temperament, size, and movement.
Illustrated and diagrammed in detail are the principal points of early training, advanced stages of schooling the horses, and types of fences and courses, to name just a few helpful hints.
Mr. Williams clearly describes the home rules for jumping, the top winners, and the sport's organization, and gives the reader a look at future show-jumping trends.
Show Jumper is an interesting and factual book on a widely increasing sport. It will be a horseman's practical guide and a first-rate addition to any library.

Binding on the trade paperback is not convincingly tight - there are no loose pages, but that's probably due largely to the fact that I don't think this book has been opened much less read. There is a tear on the cover of the paperback - you can see it in the photograph. Binding on the hardcover first American edition is tight though the pages are slightly yellowed (and it's missing the dustjacket). Navy hardcover has no blemishes and sharp corners.
I'll cover shipping as long as you're okay with the slowest shipping ever (I'll ship via Media Mail, which is second only to Donkey Cart in sloth). If you'd like it shipped faster, you're welcome to cover a slightly speedier method.
